“World’s First” produced for Red Bull

Horacio Llorens from Spain, Acro Paragliding World Champion, is the first in the World to fly with Starling murmurations as a paraglider. Starling murmurations take place in the hours just after sunset. The birds gather in large flocks and form huge formations in the sky just before they decide to land and settle for the night. The movements of the formations have been likened to a kind of dance or ballet. The experiment was performed in Denmark where Starling murmurations of up to one million birds are happening.

The film is produced by Ace & Ace together with Thomas Fink.

Horacio Llorens used a special engineered electrical engine from Paracell in Spain to get as close to the birds as possible. He believes the birds are disturbed as little as possible by using a less noisy electrical engine.
