Ace & Ace developed and produced this film for DR1 Sporten (National TV Denmark) when H.R.H. The Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark was competing in the Dexia Farr 40 Skagen Race.

The sailors get their hands full as they tackle heavy winds and break-down of gear.

Outside of the America’s Cup the Farr 40 Class is without a doubt the most successful big boat race today.

One of the captains in the Farr40 Skagen Race 2007 is H.R.H. The Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark who is an ambitious sportsman, and his crew consists of top Danish sailors – many of them have Olympic and World Cup experience.

In the Farr40 it is only the owner of the boat who is permitted to sail and steer the boat and only 40% of the 8-9 person crew are allowed to be professional sailors which results in a very equal competition.
